Bandić: Fimi media is zero compared to Zagreb Holding

In the Zagreb City Administration, a meeting of department heads and members of the Management Board of Zagreb Holding has begun, convened by Zagreb Mayor Milan Bandić due to the “alarming situation in Zagreb Holding.”

He stated that they had a meeting of the Presidency of the Assembly and that he called an extraordinary meeting of the board, members of the Management Board of Zagreb Holding, and all department heads whom he “pulled” from their annual leave, writes Večernji list.

“This is an alarming situation. If we do not respond adequately, the functioning of the City is called into question. The gentlemen have called into question the functioning of the City if we do not respond with quality measures, and that is why I am convening this meeting,” emphasized Bandić.

“I did not call people from their annual leave because I felt like it, but because the situation demands that we all be together and provide measures that will result in the restructuring of a debt of nearly three billion kuna and answer the question of what we will do with the surplus of two thousand people who were employed outside the criteria in these four years (in Zagreb Holding),” said Bandić.

He added that “Fimi media is zero compared to this, if it proves to be true, what the gentlemen have been doing for four years.”

He told reporters that they are witnesses that he has been trying to enter Zagreb Holding with an independent audit for two years and that they did not allow him. He emphasized that they did not know the situation in Zagreb Holding until people entered inside, and now that they have entered and looked at the books – nearly 3 billion kuna in losses and 2 thousand people employed outside the criteria based on political suitability.

“This is a crime, but let it now unfold,” said Bandić, announcing statements after the meeting concludes.
