In June of this year, 413 building permits were issued in Croatia, which is 27.3 percent less than in the same month last year, the Croatian Bureau of Statistics (DZS) announced today.
Of these, 83.5 percent of permits were issued for buildings, while 16.5 percent were for other structures.
Additionally, of the total permits issued, 79.2 percent pertain to new construction, and 20.8 percent for reconstructions.
According to the permits issued in June, the construction of 500 apartments is planned, with an average area of 91.6 square meters.
The projected value of works based on the permits issued in June reached 1.17 billion kuna, which is 22.8 percent less than in the same month last year.
In the first half of the year, a total of 2,889 building permits were issued, which is 28.9 percent less than in the first half of 2012. The projected value of construction based on these permits was 8.17 billion kuna or 22.1 percent less than in June 2012, according to DZS data.
