Due to farmers’ protests, the entrance and exit at the Nova Gradiška and Lužani interchanges on the A3 Bregana-Lipovac highway have been closed, and traffic is being redirected to the Okučani or Slavonski Brod-west interchanges. The D7 road in Velika Kopanica, D51 in Nova Gradiška, D55 Županja-Orašje, and the county road ŽC4244 in Lužani are also closed.
In response to the failure to reach an agreement at the Ministry of Agriculture, farmers in several counties continue to block roads with tractors. They stated that this will remain the case until Monday, when new talks between farmer representatives and the relevant ministry are scheduled.
At yesterday’s meeting between Minister of Agriculture Tihomir Jakovina and leaders of the Croatian Agricultural Chamber and several farmers’ associations, it was only agreed that discussions regarding the resolution of accumulated problems in domestic agriculture and farmers’ dissatisfaction with the work of the relevant minister will continue on Monday.
