Let’s Drink to the Rooster’s Tail!

In the United States, 200-300 years ago, the toast of rooster breeders for fighting was ‘Let’s Drink to the Rooster’s Tail’. After the fight, the owner of the defeated rooster treated the winner to a drink that was mixed from beverages whose colors were similar to the colors of the feathers on the winner’s tail.

According to legend, this is how the name cocktail – rooster’s tail – originated, which is still used today to refer to mixed drinks, among which the most popular are rum cola or gin tonic, and there are hundreds of thousands of them. And every day a new one is created.
