Day of Victory and Homeland Gratitude, Day of Croatian Defenders and the 18th anniversary of the military-police operation Storm.
At the central ceremony in Knin, the entire state leadership will be present. For the first time after the acquittal in The Hague, generals Mladen Markač and Ante Gotovina will also attend the celebration. A representative of the veteran population will address the public for the first time in 18 years with a ceremonial speech at the central event.
This will be retired general Damir Krstičević, one of the commanders in Storm, who entered the liberated Knin at the head of the 4th Guard Brigade, reports HRT.
