It took three years to wait for the sequel to the American animated hit from Universal Studios, which earned over 540 million US dollars and became the tenth highest-grossing animated film in American history.
It was worth the wait – as the impression is that the second installment of the film about the Minions and their madness is even funnier than the original. After wanting to steal the Moon in the first film, Gru has become more serious this time – his Minion family has expanded, and he has turned into a true patriarch over Margo, Edith, and Agnes. Meanwhile, the former supervillain has joined a group of heroes tasked with protecting humanity. A true summer family film, of course, has prompted some critics to engage in profound reflections on how its creators did not bring any new excitement in design and animation. Viewers, on the other hand, have concluded that it is equally funny for twenty-somethings as well as for parents a decade older and their children. An intelligent and funny three-dimensional cartoon dubbed in Croatian wins over with its charm and the voices lent to the main characters by Rene Bitorajac, Hana Hegedušić, and Goran Pirš Piro.
