Foreigners on the Tax Debtors List

The latest tax debtors list among legal entities, craftsmen, and citizens in Croatia, published by the Tax Administration as of July 31, shows a significant decrease in their number, and a novelty is that among the total of 92,068 debtors there are also foreigners.

The list contains data processed until July 24, showing that the total number of debtors is lower by 10,302 compared to the tax debtors list from a year ago.

On the latest tax debtors list among a total of 5,247 legal entities, the largest debtor is Pan paper industry in bankruptcy, with a total tax debt of 154.97 million kuna.

Following is the trading company from Zagreb, Euro-market, with a total tax debt of 101.7 million kuna.

In third place among the largest tax debtors from the business sector is the Electric Bulb Factory, whose debt has reached 76.9 million kuna.

Among the top 10 largest debtors on the latest list from the Ministry of Finance, updated on July 31, are also the Croatian Football Club Šibenik (with a debt of 59.3 million kuna), Slavonija-Fashion Confection in bankruptcy (53.4 million), Kaštelanski Greenhouses (46.5 million), Pan-Paper Factory Zagreb (45.8 million), Zagreb Service Center (44.9 million), IPK Osijek (40.5 million), and Imota from Donji Prološac (40.4 million kuna).

On the list of legal entities that owe the state more than 300,000 kuna in taxes and contributions, there are a total of 5,247 companies, which is 1,877 fewer than a year ago.

Among individuals engaged in activities, the largest debtor on the Tax Administration list is Mirko Rapić from Žaborić, with a total debt of 45.3 million kuna.

Following him is Jozo Primorac, residing in Bern, who has tax debts amounting to 12.7 million kuna, and Branko Berišić from Zagreb, with a debt of 12.1 million kuna.

On the list of individuals engaged in activities (craftsmen) who owe the state more than 100,000 kuna, there are 10,540 individuals, which is 2,526 fewer than a year ago.

On the list of tax debtors among citizens, the first place is held by Zvonimir Staničić from Mala Peratovica, with a tax debt of 66.1 million kuna.

With a debt of 40.3 million kuna follows Albino Jurman from Bale, and with 37.8 million kuna Alen Bubalo from Zagreb.

The latest tax debtors list also includes tax liabilities – foreigners. For example, in 12th place by the amount of debt, which exceeds 9.1 million kuna, is Xuejun Xu.

On the list of citizens who owe the state more than 15,000 kuna in taxes, there are 76,281 individuals, 5,899 fewer than a year ago.

Data on the total tax debt have not been published.
