Feravina Wines Presented to English Aristocrats

At the Audi International Polo competition for the prestigious Westchester Cup, held this Sunday, July 28, at the Guards Polo Club near Windsor, the wine list featured exclusively wines from the Slavonian winery Feravino.

The competition saw the English Audi team face off against the Equus & Co. team from the USA. The Guards Polo Club is one of the most prestigious polo clubs in the world, and it is headed by Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh, husband of British Queen Elizabeth II. This event is a combination of sport, entertainment, and glamour, and is one of the highlights of the summer season of aristocratic social life, with guests from the worlds of film, television, music, and sports in England.

For the young winery from Croatia, this represents an exceptional success, with wines from the Dika and Miraz lines being presented. Furthermore, Feravina wines were selected as the only wines served to guests and invitees at this prestigious event.

Feravino had the opportunity to present itself at the Audi International Polo competition in Windsor thanks to the British-Croatian Business Club in London and Paul Jenca, head of investment groups at BCBC. BCBC in London actively advocates for the promotion of Croatian products, the organization of Investment Forums, and presentations of Croatian products and services.

“It is a great honor for the young winery from Croatia that its wines were included and presented at this tournament. Feravino had the opportunity to present itself in the aristocratic world of England after its wines were tasted and tested by numerous experts before being selected for this prestigious competition. Among several proposed well-known Croatian wineries, the organizers chose our young and promising winery. Thus, the top wines of the traditional names Dika and Miraz have also received aristocratic confirmation of their quality,” stated Željko Jirouš, sales director of Feravina.

At Feravino, they emphasize that the positive reaction does not surprise them given the prestigious international awards that have recently been awarded to Feravino, among which two medals at Decanter for Frankovka Miraz 2009 and Syrah Miraz 2009 stand out, the latter also awarded a silver medal at the 7th Syrah du Monde.
