Atlantic Group Stock Star of the Day

In today’s calm trading on the Zagreb Stock Exchange, the Crobex indices are slightly up, with Atlantic Group’s stock standing out after the announcement of its semi-annual business results.

Around noon, the Crobex index was up 0.36 percent, at 1,835 points, while Crobex10 was up 0.47 percent, at 1,033 points.

Regular trading volume was slightly below 2 million kuna, which is approximately 300,000 less than at the same time yesterday.

“The stock of Atlantic Group is the winner of the day, thanks to the business results announced today by the group. Following in price growth are the stocks of Valamar and Arenaturist. However, most stock prices are down today. Overall, trading is calm, and liquidity is very low, as investors are absent due to the holiday season,” says Suzana LonĨar, director of the investment company.

Atlantic Group reported today that in the first half of this year, it achieved a net profit of 116.6 million kuna, which is nearly 8 times higher than in the same period last year.

Total revenues during this period reached 2.48 billion kuna, which is 3.9 percent higher than in the same period last year. At the same time, total expenses decreased by 0.9 percent, to 2.335 billion kuna.

With a turnover of 388,000 kuna, this stock is currently the most liquid. Its price jumped by 4.5 percent, to 628 kuna, making it the biggest winner.

Following in liquidity is the stock of HT, which achieved a turnover of 346,000 kuna. Its price fell by 0.78 percent, to 174.74 kuna.

Among the larger winners are also the stocks of Valamar Adriatic, with a price increase of 1.17 percent, to 162 kuna, and Arenaturist, up 1.01 percent to 177 kuna.

Conversely, the prices of Petrokemija stocks fell significantly, by 3.37 percent to 211.5 kuna, as well as Termes Group, down 2.94 percent to 191.2 kuna, and Atlantska Plovidba, down 2.91 percent to 303.35 kuna.

Meanwhile, AD Plastik reported that its semi-annual net profit at the group level decreased by more than 50 percent, to 18.05 million kuna. At the same time, sales revenues increased by 3.34 percent, to 393.2 million kuna.

The price of that company’s stock slightly weakened, by 0.15 percent, to 119.15 kuna, with a turnover of 64,000 kuna.
