The time for 4K televisions has finally arrived. One of the most attractive models, which has been available for pre-order since last week, is Samsung’s F9000 UHD.
The television comes in two sizes: a large 55-inch and an even larger 65-inch – and depending on that, the price is $5499 and $7499 respectively. For premium picture quality, Samsung’s Quadrimatic Picture Engine takes care of reducing noise in the display, performs ‘upscaling’ to 4K standard for content that does not originally support it, enhances picture quality, and analyzes signal quality.
‘Upscaling’ is supported from SD picture quality, as broadcasted by domestic TV stations, up to a resolution of 1080p, which is today’s standard for BluRay video. The television also features technology for enhancing dark displays and black Precision Black Local Dimming, while the Micro Dimming Ultimate technology ensures improved contrast, and there are also 70-watt speakers.
