In the new issue of Lider, there is an article about the possible postponement of the privatization of Croatia osiguranje, which we have verified at all relevant addresses. However, the journalist’s path to information is sometimes in conflict with the path of interest.
Even while writing the article about the (non)sale of Croatia osiguranje, we tried to decipher what interests lie behind the numerous speculations and information in coalition and financial circles.
The interests are so dense and intertwined that the media mind can hardly grasp and categorize them. How the entire privatization matter will end is still unknown. However, the fact is that the Government could have quickly and easily put an end to the speculation, for example, by simply responding to Lider’s inquiry with clear information just a day before the Government meeting where the decision on the continuation of privatization is made.
Instead of information that the continuation of the privatization of CO (and HPB) is indeed on the Government’s agenda, they referred to an old May statement according to which the entire deal is still in a deeply secret phase. The response is all the more strange since the agenda of the meeting has passed all ‘test’ steps, so there really was no reason for the absence of information on that matter. Probably.
