I have never been against capital increase. On the contrary, I have always advocated for capital increase, restructuring, and a strategic partner, stated the CEO of Petrokemija, Josip Jagušt, in response to the news published in Lider that there has been a rift between him and the shareholders of Petrokemija regarding whether to proceed with a capital increase or sell shares in the company.
Specifically, that Jagušt had started advocating for a sale, while the shareholders preferred a capital increase followed by a sale at a potentially higher price, and he rejected the capital increase of 200 million kuna.
– It is obvious that there are many interests at stake around Petrokemija. I think this is a spin, an attempt to disqualify me – said Jagušt, adding that the agenda of the General Assembly of Shareholders, which is being held today, will include a decision on increasing the share capital and he believes that they will proceed with the realization of that idea and the preparation of the process for seeking a strategic partner.
