Journalists of Jutarnji list have confirmed Viktor Vresnik as the editor-in-chief of the daily newspaper by a majority vote this afternoon, confirmed Tomsilav Wruss, director of the publishing company Europa digital.
An Editorial Council has also been established, with journalist Gordana Galović elected as its president. According to unofficial data, Vresnik received a large majority of votes: out of 137 journalists, 107 voted, and 99 supported Vresnik.
The recently adopted statute of Jutarnji list includes a provision stating that the opinion of the editorial members regarding the appointment of the editor-in-chief is binding for the publisher. The Editorial Council consists of five members and its role is to oversee the implementation of the statute of Jutarnji list.
