After losing her job at the Varaždin Vama following a 30-year career and spending years at the Employment Bureau, Mirjana Preložnjak from Čakovec was informed that she must return 170,000 kuna in unemployment benefits she received since 2000 because she is – retired.
On the same day, HRT reports, she received a decision on her disability pension from 1999 and a temporary decision on her old-age pension, and she was paid 220,000 kuna in unpaid pensions.
In the meantime, Mirjana, unaware of her status as a retiree, worked on public works and inquired several times about when she could retire.
