Željko Malnar has passed away in Zagreb at the age of 69, reports Jutarnji list.
Malnar was engaged in research work, after studying in India he led expeditions throughout Asia, and during that time he also worked as a collaborator for Radio-televizija Zagreb.
Malnar was the author of over 70 documentary films and reports from Turkey, Jordan, Iraq, Iran, Afghanistan, Pakistan, India, Sri Lanka, the Maldives, Thailand, Panama, Puerto Rico, Ecuador, Samoa, from the South Pacific, New Hebrides (Vanuatu), Solomon Islands…
Malnar spent his last years in Zagreb, where he worked as a columnist for Globus and hosted the show ‘Nightmare’, in which he mockingly held the position of President of the Republic of Peščenica.
