The leading international event in project management, the ’27th IPMA World Congress’, will be held from September 30 to October 3, 2013, in Dubrovnik.
The congress gathers leading global practitioners and managers, representatives of global companies, as well as academic staff. The topics to be addressed at the congress include Challenges of Project Management in the EU, Project Management in the Public Sector, as well as many others related to the latest tools and methods for project management. Keynote speakers who have confirmed their attendance include: Dr. Prajapati Triviedi (India), advisor to the Indian Government on Performance Management, Mike Brown (UK), head of the Project Management Center at Rolls-Royce, Colin J. Carille (SWE), special advisor to the CEO of ESS (European Spallation Source), Ed Logan (USA), vice president of Envolver Incorporated, Ricaurte ‘Catín’ Vásquez, CEO of General Electric for Central America and the Caribbean.

The IPMA World Congress has a long-standing tradition and recognition as a leading event in the field of project, program, and portfolio management. The International Project Management Association (IPMA) is a non-profit organization based in Switzerland that brings together national organizations in the field of project management. IPMA (www.ipma.ch) consists of 60 members – national associations from countries on all continents, with around 200,000 members. Croatian experts also participate in IPMA’s work through development projects, membership in committees, etc. Since 2013, the president of IPMA has been Prof. Dr. Mladen Radujković, a member of the Croatian member.
