How to register on the European labor market and start searching for a job? Just a few clicks separate you from the European labor market. Through EURES, you enter the market of 32 countries. Currently, there are over a million jobs available.
Searching for a job through EURES is quite easy. If you are, for example, a construction worker and want to work in Denmark, it is enough to select your desired country, the construction category, and the program will list available job openings for you. Details and application procedures are defined in the job advertisement. You will conduct the interview depending on the agreement with the employer, either via Skype, by phone, in the destination country, or in Croatia.
You can also have your user account, so your resume is always available to employers. However, you will also receive other information.
Despite the free movement of labor, Minister of Labor Mirando Mrsić does not expect citizens to take advantage of this opportunity in large numbers. ‘Most young people aspire to find employment in their own country. Because even when they went abroad, they worked in lower jobs than those for which they are qualified,’ said Mrsić.
EURES has ensured that each partner country has its advisors who can assist you in finding a job. In Croatia, they are located in Zagreb, Rijeka, Split, and Osijek and operate within the Employment Service. The market is in crisis, but there are jobs available. However, keep in mind that 12 countries have set restrictions on employing our workers. These are Belgium, Germany, the Netherlands, France, Austria, the United Kingdom, Slovenia, Spain, Luxembourg, Malta, Cyprus, and Greece.
