Franck Acquires Gala Plus from the Petrač Family

On Friday, Franck signed a contract to purchase 100% of the business shares in Gala Plus, the importer and distributor of Lavazza coffee, as announced by Franck.

Gala Plus, the importer and distributor of Lavazza coffee and other products from this renowned Italian manufacturer in Croatia, will continue its operations within the Franck group, according to Franck.

The company announced in early June that it had signed a pre-contract for the purchase of a 100% stake in Gala Plus.

Gala Plus, owned by Alica and Nikola Petrač, the wife and son of Hrvoje Petrača, imports and distributes not only Lavazza products but also Dilmah teas and Eraclea chocolate drinks.

As reported by some media in early June, Gala Plus’s revenues last year amounted to nearly 54 million kuna, with a profit of around 700 thousand kuna.

The Franck group achieved total revenues of 919.2 million kuna last year, which is a decrease of 3.9% compared to 2011, while its expenses were reduced by 1.7% to 885.2 million kuna. The net profit of the Franck group decreased by 18.1% last year to 33.9 million kuna.
