Almost 300 thousand kuna was taken from a bank in New Zagreb by an unknown robber who, armed with a pistol, dared to carry out the robbery on Friday evening, according to police sources.
According to the official police report, the robber entered the bank on Resselova Street in New Zagreb around 6 PM. He threatened two employees with a pistol, took the loot, and fled to an unknown location.
Although the police did not want to disclose the exact amount of stolen money, unofficial sources indicate that the robber’s haul is slightly less than 300 thousand kuna.
A few thousand kuna were also taken yesterday afternoon by robbers from a precious metals buying office in Maksimirska, where an unknown man threatened an employee with a knife, as well as from a store on Velikogorička Street in Peščenica.
