At the end of last week, Facebook announced that due to a ‘technical error’ they had provided phone numbers and email addresses of six million of their users to other individuals on their social network.
Given all the privacy issues that have surrounded Zuckerberg’s social network in recent years, one would expect the Facebook team to issue a sincere apology and inform users of all details related to the breach through which some individuals obtained data about the phone numbers and emails of millions of users, reports Dnevnik.hr.
However, it seems that Zuckerberg tried to do everything to prevent the mass spread of this information on the internet. Although this is an extremely important announcement that affects the security of six million people, Facebook did not publish information about this breach on its official page where it shares general news related to events on this network, but rather on a security page that is followed by far fewer users.
