After the news broke in the media that German Chancellor Angela Merkel canceled her attendance at the celebration of Croatia’s entry into the EU, the Government has finally responded.
-Yesterday, it was confirmed to the Office of the Prime Minister from the Office of Federal Chancellor Angela Merkel that, due to other commitments, she will not be able to attend the central celebration of Croatia’s entry into the European Union in Zagreb on June 30 – the Government briefly stated via a press release.
Members of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina, the Presidents of Slovenia, Serbia, Montenegro, North Macedonia, Albania, and Kosovo have also been invited to this celebration.
All of them will gather for breakfast with President Josipović to discuss the continuation of regional cooperation and the promotion of enlargement following Croatia’s entry into the EU.
