Construction works in Croatia in April, according to seasonally adjusted data, were down by 8.5 percent compared to the same month in 2012, while deseasonalized indices show a decline in construction works in April compared to March of 3.1 percent, according to data from the Croatian Bureau of Statistics.
The decline in construction works on an annual basis is also indicated by the original indices, which show that in April this year compared to April last year, the physical volume of construction works fell by 1.6 percent.
Annual rates of change calculated from seasonally adjusted indices show that in April compared to the same month last year, the decline in construction activities on buildings amounted to 15.4 percent, while on other constructions it was 0.4 percent.
In April, 52.5 percent of working hours were spent on new constructions, while 47.5 percent were spent on other works.
