Founder of ACI Barbieri Has Died

Veljko Barbieri, the founder and first director of the chain of nautical marinas on the Adriatic, has passed away.

He was the one who conceived the development idea of the marina chain, launched in 1983, which offered sailors modern and quality infrastructure for accommodating sailing boats and yachts along the Adriatic coast.

A large chain of marinas was created from Umag through Kornati to Dubrovnik, with standardized services and features, and ACI became a brand and a hit among sailors.
