Volvo Appoints New Chief Financial Officer

Jan Gurander, Chief Financial Officer of the Volvo Car Group (Volvo Cars) since 2011, has decided to leave the Swedish automotive company.

Hans Oscarsson will take his place starting August 1, 2013, who currently serves as the Deputy Chief Financial Officer and Business Controller of Volvo.

After exiting the Ford automotive group, Volvo, under Jan Gurander’s leadership, has created a financial functionality worthy of an independent company. At the same time, numerous important financial agreements have been signed with both Chinese and international banks.

– In over two years spent at Volvo, Jan Gurander has created conditions for long-term stability despite a complex environment, and we are very grateful to him for that. We now have a financial functionality that guarantees a successful continuation of business – stated Hakan Samuelsson, President of Volvo Cars.
