The Slovenian parliament is expected to decide at an extraordinary session on a list of 15 companies in which the state holds ownership stakes, which, according to the proposal of Prime Minister Alenka Bratušek’s government, would be sold.
These include Telekom Slovenije, the airline Adria Airways, Elan, Ljubljana Airport, Nova Kreditna banka Maribor, Aera, Elan, as well as Fotoni, Helios, Adria Airways Tehnika, Cinkarna Celje, Ljubljana Fair, Paloma, Terme Olimia Bazeni, and the company Una.
The sale of part of the state assets is one of the recommendations from the European Commission to Slovenia to help it exit the economic crisis more quickly and stabilize public finances.
