Voting on the amended restructuring plan of Dioki

Calm trading is expected today on the Zagreb Stock Exchange, as there are no new significant business news, with the focus of investors likely remaining on the shares of companies within Agrokor, after the conglomerate took over the Slovenian Mercator.

Of the 7 analysts from brokerage firms who participated in the Hina survey, 6 expect stagnation today, while 1 expects an increase in Crobex.

Crobex strengthened by 0.23 percent yesterday, to 1,805 points, while Crobex10 weakened by 0.30 percent, to 1,018 points.

The regular turnover of the Exchange amounted to 10.3 million kuna, which is about 2 million less than on Friday.

The shares of Agrokor’s companies were in focus for investors, after it was announced on Friday that Todorić’s conglomerate is acquiring 53 percent of the shares of Slovenian Mercator.

Thus, the highest turnover was achieved by the shares of Vupik, amounting to 1.7 million kuna, with a price increase of 3.68 percent, to 128.60 kuna. The shares of Belje had a turnover of 1.4 million kuna, and its price rose by 1.13 percent, to 75.29 kuna.

Significant trading also occurred with the shares of Riviera Adria, which achieved slightly over 1.6 million kuna in turnover, with a price increase of 0.42 percent, to 14.50 kuna.

The shares of HT achieved a turnover of 1.6 million kuna, and its price rose by 0.20 percent, to 182.48 kuna.

-I expect a continuation of calm trading today, as there are no new business news. Among the important events, the main assembly of the Adris group is being held today, and the proposal for a dividend payout of 7 kuna per share is expected to be accepted- says Nada Harambašić Nereau, financial analyst at Raiffeisenbank Austria.

At the same time, a hearing will be held today for voting on the amended Financial Restructuring Plan of Dioki.

This hearing was originally scheduled for June 10, but was postponed to June 18 at the request of the debtor, who received requests from key creditors (Hypo Group Alpe Adria, HEP Group, and Zagrebačka banka) for a postponement in order to procedurally obtain the necessary approvals to support the proposed restructuring plan.

-The most important event this week on foreign exchanges is the Fed meeting on Tuesday and Wednesday, where the future of the monetary stimulus program for the US economy will be decided- notes Harambašić Nereau.

On Wall Street, stock prices rose on Monday, recovering part of last week’s losses, as investors believe that the US Fed will continue to pursue a very loose monetary policy to stimulate economic recovery.

The Dow Jones strengthened by 0.73 percent, while the S&P 500 rose by 0.76, and the Nasdaq index by 0.83 percent.

On Wednesday, the Fed will release a statement from its two-day meeting, and immediately after that, the central bank president Ben Bernanke will hold a press conference.

This morning, the main indices on Asian and European exchanges slightly weakened in cautious trading.

-New guidelines today will provide investors with data on inflation in the US, as well as the ZEW index of investor confidence in the Eurozone and Germany- concludes Harambašić Nereau.
