Starting from July 1, Clearstream will reduce custody fees by 45 percent for a wide range of securities in the Croatian capital market, including stocks and bonds, the company announced via Deutsche Boerse.
As Croatia approaches EU membership, the company has announced that it will lower its custody fees in order to attract global investors to the Croatian capital market.
– Croatia’s accession to the EU will be a positive step towards further political, economic, and social integration into the EU, and it is also a significant signal that the Western Balkan region is opening its capital markets. By reducing our custody fees for the Croatian market, we aim to attract global investors to Croatia and beyond to the Western Balkans. We will continue to listen to our clients and develop our services to keep pace with the evolution of the capital market – said Philip Brown, Head of Client Relations and Executive Board Member of Clearstream.
