At the Embassy of the Kingdom of Norway in Zagreb, scholarships from Đuro Đaković and Kongsberg Protech Systems from the Kingdom of Norway were ceremoniously awarded for the second consecutive year, which this year were won by three undergraduates from the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering and Naval Architecture (FSB) in Zagreb and the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering in Slavonski Brod (SFSB).
The joint scholarship program of Đuro Đaković and Kongsberg was launched last year in collaboration with local mechanical engineering faculties in Zagreb and Slavonski Brod and the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU) in Trondheim.
In a demanding selection process, Marko Knežević from Slavonski Brod and Dino Bučević-Keran from Vinkovci, both students of SFSB, and Filip Lukač from Orehovica, a student of FSB, were selected. In addition to a generous scholarship of 60,000 Norwegian kroner and 19,000 kuna, the scholars will have the opportunity to attend winter classes at the prestigious University in Trondheim, and after obtaining their degree, they will receive a unique opportunity to undertake a six-month internship at one of Norway’s largest corporations, Kongsberg. After that, they will have a job waiting for them at the Đuro Đaković group, where they will immediately have the chance to apply the academic knowledge and professional experience gained in Norway.
To the second generation of scholars, the three most successful candidates who stood out in this year’s competition with excellent academic achievements and openness to new challenges, the scholarships were ceremoniously awarded by Henrik Ofstad, the Ambassador of the Kingdom of Norway to Croatia, and Tomislav Mazal, a member of the Management Board of Đuro Đaković.
