April: Planned Construction of 600 Apartments

In April of this year, 507 building permits were issued in Croatia, which is 27.6 percent less compared to the same month last year, according to the first data released today by the Croatian Bureau of Statistics (DZS).

The projected value of construction based on the issued permits reaches 1.04 billion kuna.

Of the total number of building permits issued in April, 84.6 percent were issued for buildings, and 15.4 percent for other structures,

By type of construction, 79.1 percent of permits were issued for new construction, and 20.9 percent for reconstructions. It is planned to construct 600 apartments, with an average area of 94.4 square meters.

From January to the end of April, a total of 2,038 building permits were issued, which is 23.3 percent less compared to the same period last year. The projected value of construction works reached 5.46 billion kuna, according to DZS data.
