Following yesterday’s interrogation of INA’s CEO Zoltan Aldott and two members of the company’s Supervisory Board, two more Hungarian members of INA’s Supervisory Board, Jozsef Molnar and Gyorgy Mosonyi, were interviewed by the police today.
Although Molnar and Mosonyi were filmed in front of the police station in Zagreb’s Remetinec, the Zagreb police and the Directorate of Police did not wish to provide any official information regarding their interrogation, explaining that it is part of a USKOK investigation.
HRT unofficially learns that they were also questioned as part of the investigation into alleged price manipulation of INA’s shares in late 2010 and early 2011. A criminal complaint against MOL and responsible individuals in that company was filed in May 2011 by the then CEO of the Croatian Financial Services Supervisory Agency (Hanfa), Ante Samodol.
Unofficial sources stated at the time that they were not called for the informational interview as suspects or witnesses, but as individuals who might have knowledge of the events related to the complaint.
In the criminal complaint, Hanfa accused MOL and responsible individuals in that company of committing market manipulation and fraud in economic operations.
Hanfa claimed that MOL provided misleading information even though their goal was to acquire a majority stake in the Croatian oil company, which they did not disclose in their general offer.
In addition to Aldott, members of INA’s Supervisory Board Ferenc Horvath and Oszkar Vilagi were also present at the police interview yesterday.
