Ministry of Finance Accepted All Offers for Treasury Bills

The Ministry of Finance today accepted all offers from banking institutions and other investors at the treasury bill auction, resulting in the registration of 1.337 billion kuna and 2.15 million euros worth of bills, as announced by the ministry.

At today’s auction, the Ministry of Finance offered for registration treasury bills worth 1.3 billion kuna and 10 million euros.

Banking institutions and other investors submitted offers worth 1.337 billion kuna and 2.15 million euros, which is equivalent to 16.23 million kuna. The Ministry of Finance accepted all offers.

In this process, 255 million kuna of treasury bills with a maturity of 182 days were sold, at an average interest rate of 1.80 percent, the same as last time. Additionally, 1.082 billion kuna of treasury bills with a maturity of 364 days were registered, with an average interest rate of 2.55 percent, also the same as last time.

At the same time, 2.15 million euros worth of treasury bills with a maturity of 364 days were registered at today’s auction, with an average interest rate of 1.60 percent, which is 0.10 percentage points lower than last time.

Meanwhile, 1.523 billion kuna and 9.8 million euros worth of treasury bills matured, resulting in a reduction of the total debt balance of the Ministry of Finance in both kuna and euro bills. As of today, a total of 20.802 billion kuna worth of treasury bills have been registered, which is 186 million less than on the day of the previous auction.

A total of 438.91 million euros worth of bills have been registered, which is 7.65 million less than on the day of the previous auction. The next treasury bill auction will be held on June 11 via the Bloomberg Auction System (BAS).
