As many as 6,151 workers of Croatian Forests have filed a lawsuit for non-payment of Christmas bonuses against their company, Dnevnik.hr has learned.
Attorney Krešimir Grubišić, who represents the workers, told Dnevnik.hr that he has already received 200 court rulings obligating Croatian Forests to pay the Christmas bonus to the workers.
The Christmas bonus was supposed to be paid to the workers on December 25, 2012. Grubišić says that this number will certainly grow as he receives new court rulings day by day. He explained that he is negotiating with the CEO of Croatian Forests, Ivan Pavelić, on how to resolve this dispute. He expects that an agreement on payment could be reached next week. He emphasized that the workers are willing to waive part of the interest and that they insist on receiving 1,000 kuna as the Christmas bonus they were supposed to get.
