The Vice President of the Serbian government, Aleksandar Vučić, announced that the subscription for public television in that country will be abolished.
The move has received support from citizens, but on the other hand, the question arises as to how public television will be financed. Does such a proposal make sense and can it take root in Croatia, where public television is financed in such a way that citizens of the Republic of Croatia contribute about 70 percent of the total revenue of HRT through the payment of the RTV fee, while revenue from marketing accounts for 30 percent of total revenue.
