The Slovenian government will decide on a legislative proposal under which the labor market in Slovenia would be closed to workers from Croatia for a transitional period of two years following its entry into the EU on July 1 of this year.
As announced on Wednesday by the government’s public relations office, it is planned for the government to submit the law to parliament for urgent adoption.
According to the legislative proposal prepared by the Ministry of Labor, Family, and Social Affairs, regulations applicable to job seekers from non-EU countries would apply to Croatian citizens during the transitional two-year period until June 31, 2015.
