Slovenian employers who hire individuals under the age of 29 will not have to pay contributions on their salaries from mid-year, announced Slovenian Minister of Labour, Family and Social Affairs Anja Kopač Mrak during her visit to Nova Gorica on Monday.
This is one of the incentive measures to promote youth employment announced by the government of Prime Minister Alenka Bratušek due to the sharp rise in youth unemployment last year.
According to statistical data, in Slovenia, youth unemployment in the group up to 25 years of age increased from 16.7% to 27.1% from the beginning to the end of last year.
