The Croatian language exam for the state matura, which was supposed to take place today, has been postponed. Namely, in three schools (in Senj, Đakovo, and Split), the Croatian language exams were distributed during yesterday’s essay exam. The questions quickly “surfaced” on social media.
To ensure that the integrity of the state matura process is not called into question for any reason, the national center conducting the matura has postponed the writing of the Croatian language exam to Friday, May 31. The exam coordinators who admitted the mistake have been dismissed.
The postponement of the Croatian language exam has sparked a real rebellion among the students. A heated debate is ongoing on internet forums and social media. Numerous students are complaining that the postponement of the Croatian exam has disrupted their entire preparation and study schedule, and they are demanding a postponement of the mathematics exam.
All schools in the country will receive a new version of the test by then to ensure that all students and candidates in the country are on an equal footing. The Greek language exam, which was supposed to take place on May 31 at 2:00 PM, will be held on June 11 at 2:00 PM.
