Croatian Lottery Increases Revenue Only from Betting Shops

For the fourth consecutive year, the Croatian Lottery is losing revenue on all games of chance – except for betting shops.

According to Novi list, from 2009 to 2012, revenue from lottery games decreased at an average rate of 10.34 percent, from slot clubs nearly 16 percent, and income in casinos slightly less than 20 percent. At the same time, betting games grew at a rate of 10.14 percent annually.

Last year, the Croatian Lottery recorded for the first time a total revenue from betting games that exceeded that from lottery games.
