Kristina Ikić Baniček, the candidate for the mayor of Sisak, announced the submission of documents to the State Attorney’s Office which, she claims, prove the malversations in securing a majority in the Sisak City Council in 2005.
The SDP candidate for mayor possesses a loan agreement between the then councilors Veljko Novak and Ivica Kindija, where Novak provides a loan to Kindija in the amount of 96 thousand kuna. Ikić Baniček claims that this is about the sale of votes in the City Council.
– In two documents signed by the then councilors, it can be seen how the trade was conducted. The price of one of the councilors was then 96 thousand kuna ‘loan’ which, according to all available information, was never repaid, turning the alleged loan into a ‘life loan’. The right name for ‘life loan’ will be given by DORH in the appropriate procedure – wrote Ikić Baniček in a statement to the media.
