What Does the New Line of Philips Televisions Look Like?

Philips has introduced its line of televisions for 2013 in Croatia.

The latest representatives of the 5000, 6000, 7000, and 8000 series, as well as the newest DesignLine 3D Smart LED TV receiver, available in 46 and 55-inch diagonals, are characterized by innovative design, excellent display quality, and extensive connectivity options with other advanced technologies.

Thanks to this patented technology from Philips, the screen appears much wider, and exceptionally wide lighting projects from three sides of the television onto the wall around it. The color automatically adjusts to the image on the television. With the wall adaptation feature, the brightness will be perfectly aligned with the image on the television, regardless of the wall color.

Ambilight is a unique Philips technology that enhances the screen by projecting a light glow onto the wall around its frame from the back. The Ambilight function automatically adjusts the color and brightness to the image on the screen. The color and brightness are always perfect due to the wall adaptation feature, regardless of the wall color.

For additional image enhancement, the Philips DesignLine TV uses Perfect Pixel HD technology. Each pixel that makes up the image is enhanced to better align with surrounding pixels. The result is a unique combination of sharpness, natural details, vivid colors, superior contrast, and smooth natural movements.

Philips has also developed PMR – Philips Motion Rate standard for measuring motion picture sharpness. Perfect Motion Rate represents a combined result of unique video processing, frames per second, and refresh rate of each frame, refining the capabilities of local dimming and backlighting technology. A higher PMR number means greater contrast and better motion clarity, resulting in a better picture.

For complete enjoyment while watching favorite movies, the LCD provides pure and clear sound from hidden speakers that are seamlessly integrated into the elegant, slim design. 3D wOOx and HD Stereo technology deliver perfectly clear and crisp sound with a power of 30 watts (2x15W).

Connecting to other devices and managing various entertainment content is very simple thanks to extensive connectivity options – USB (4), HDMI (4), component (YpbPr) input, SCART input (RGB/CVBS), and integrated wireless Wi-Fi 11n connection with Wi-Fi Miracast certification.

Philips’ new DesignLine will be available for purchase in Croatia starting next month, with a retail price of 14,999 kuna for the 46-inch model and 21,999 kuna for the 55-inch model.
