These Cities Have Already Elected Their Mayors

In the first round of local elections, mayors of Čakovec, Virovitica, and Velika Gorica were elected with a majority, while in all other larger cities, leaders will be elected in the second round.

In Čakovec, Stjepan Kovač (SDP, HNS, HSS, HSU, MDS) was elected in the first round, in Virovitica Ivica Kirin (HDZ, HSS, HSLS, HSP AS), and in Velika Gorica Dražen Barišić (HDZ, HSS, HSP AS, DC, BUZ, ZS, HČSP). 

Zagreb will elect its mayor in the second round between Milan Bandić (independent) and Rajko Ostojić (SDP, HNS, HSU, ZS, Greens, Greens Together), while in Split, Ivo Baldasar (SPD, HNS, HSU) and Vjekoslav Ivanišević (HDZ, HSP AS, HČSP, HSLS, HDS, BUZ) will proceed to the second round.

In Rijeka, Vojko Obersnel (SDP, HNS, HSU, IDS, ARS, SDA Croatia, SDSS) and Hrvoje Burić (HDZ, HSS, HSP AS) will face off in the second round, and in Osijek, Krešimir Bubalo (HDSSB, Greens HR) and Ivan Vrkić (independent) will compete.

In Varaždin, Goran Habuš (HNS, SDP, HSU, HSLS) and Marijan Cingula (independent) will advance to the second round, in Krapina Zoran Gregurović (HDZ, ZDS, HSLS, A-HSS) and Željko Pavić (SDP, HSU), and in Sisak Dinko Pintarić (HDZ, HSP AS, HSS, HSLS, SP, BUZ) and Kristina Ikić Baniček (SDP, HNS, HSU).

In Karlovac, Damir Jelić (HDZ, HSS, HSP AS, HSLS) and Josip Benčić (SDP, HNS, HSU, ZS) will compete, in Koprivnica Vesna Želježnjak (SDP, HNS, HSU, HSLS) and Ernest Forjan (HDZ, HSS), and in Bjelovar Antun Korušec (ABB, HDSS, HNS, HSU) and Marijan Coner (HDZ, HSP AS, BUZ, SU).

In Gospić, Petar Krmpotić (HDZ, HSS, HSP AS, HSU) and Karlo Starčević (independent) will proceed to the second round, in Požega Zdravko Ronko (SDP, HSU, HNS) and Vedran Neferović (HDZ, HSP AS), and in Slavonski Brod Mirko Duspara (independent) and Dragan Jelić (HDZ, HSP AS, HSLS).

In Pula, Boris Miletić (IDS, HNS, Greens) and Peđa Grbin (SDP, HSU, SDSS, HSLS, SDA Croatia) will compete for the mayoral position, in Zadar Božidar Kalmeta (HDZ, HSP AS, HSU, A-HSS, HČSP) and Ivo Bilić (SDP, HNS, DSU, HSLS, Greens), and in Šibenik Željko Burić (HDZ, HSP AS, HSS, HČSP) and Ante Županović (SDP, HNS, HSLS).

The second round of elections will also be held in Vukovar, where Željko Sabo (SDP, HSU, Green List) and Ivan Penava (HDZ, HSP AS, HSLS, DC, BUZ) will face off, and in Dubrovnik where Andro Vlahušić (HNS, HSS, SHUS) and Teo Andrić (HDZ, HSP AS, HSLS) will compete.
