Zagreb Mayor Milan Bandić opened the 7th Jewish Film Festival in Zagreb tonight, and when asked to comment on the results of the exit poll from today’s local elections, he replied that he does not wish to comment on the results until the film is finished.
Mayor Bandić, together with the festival’s main organizer Branko Lustig, is watching the film ‘When the Day Breaks’ by Serbian director Goran Paskaljević.
According to exit polls from Ipsos Puls, the incumbent mayor Milan Bandić, a candidate from a citizens’ group, received 44.19 percent of the votes in Zagreb, while Rajko Ostojić (SDP, HNS, HSU, ZS, Greens) received 25.01 percent. The poll was conducted in the four largest Croatian cities at a total of 200 polling stations.
