Crucial for economic growth, yet facing serious challenges, smaller Croatian companies have demonstrated an indomitable entrepreneurial spirit – says a new study commissioned by Regus, the world’s largest provider of flexible workspaces.
Although some entrepreneurs started their own companies due to a lack of employment, an incredible 79% of Croatian entrepreneurs stated they would do it all over again. On a global scale, that number rises to 85%.
In the latest Regus survey, more than 26,000 managers and business owners from 90 countries were interviewed, confirming that resourceful and flexible Croatian entrepreneurs see bureaucracy as the current biggest obstacle when starting a business (90%). Following this are the state of the economy (73%) and the market dominance of large corporations (67%). Almost two-thirds of Croatian entrepreneurs cited difficulties in obtaining loans and a lack of government support as serious obstacles.
