Baldasar is by far the best choice, stated Prime Minister and SDP leader Zoran Milanović last night at Matejuška in Split, where he expressed support for his party colleague and candidate of the SDP-HNS-HSU coalition for the mayor of Split, Ivo Baldasar.
Milanović compared Baldasar to an old German diesel engine, which takes time to reach operating temperature when started, but once it gets going, it doesn’t stop.
– When I look at Split, I wonder if this is the Balkans? No, this is the Mediterranean cradle, the pride of all Croatian citizens. Therefore, the choice is simple. On one side, you have those who call themselves independents, but are dependent on private interests, and on the other side, a man of clean hands and a clear mind. Baldasar is by far the best choice – he stated.
Baldasar, who held the campaign rally under the slogan ‘Split Matters’, said he does not want to talk much about his political opponents because they, he said, speak enough about themselves.
– The past four years have been wasted. I hope that with these new elections we will change the situation in the city and that we will finally get a real mayor – he emphasized.
