Macedonian Railways – Transport plans to procure six new passenger trains for domestic transport in the country.
The deal is expected to be realized next year, and, as stated by the director of the company Oliver Derkovski, it will be financed by a loan of 50 million euros. New train suppliers are expected to provide more space for additional passengers, lower fuel consumption, and reduced maintenance costs.
Will Končar also participate in the tender? From the company managed by Darinko Bago, there is only a brief statement: ‘Končar will be able to decide on offering trains only after the tender with technical and commercial requirements and the type of trains for Macedonian Railways is published.’
