In one of the oldest hotels in Zagreb, Jadran on Vlaška Street, which operates under the company HUP-Zagreb, the renovation of all rooms and the entire interior as well as the parking lot behind the hotel has been completed, and new services and amenities have been introduced, with an investment of approximately 3.5 million kuna.
This information comes from the hotel’s director Morana Rabatić Andrić, who emphasizes that guests are responding excellently to the renovated hotel, which is confirmed by nearly sold-out May and excellent bookings for the summer.
Hotel Jadran has been gradually renovated from the inside since last summer and has remained open for guests throughout the process, and the newly renovated hotel retains its three-star category, which is also the strategic position of Jadran within HUP-Zagreb.
Prices are now slightly above the three-star level, but considering the hotel’s location in the city center, Rabatić Andrić believes this will not be an obstacle for good occupancy, as the hotel had excellent annual occupancy rates above 70 percent even before the renovation.
They are still awaiting the renovation of the exterior facade, for which she cannot currently specify when it will begin, but she adds that the hotel has already been rebranded with the introduction of a new logo, a new website, and new services and amenities.
Thus, in addition to accommodation in 49 newly modernly equipped rooms, it now offers guests wireless internet and tours of Zagreb and its surroundings, as well as a space for socializing in the hotel. For years, this hotel has operated on a ‘bed & breakfast’ system, meaning it offers guests overnight stays and breakfast. Hotel Jadran is the smallest among the six hotels of HUP-Zagreb in Zagreb, built in the 1940s, and it underwent major adaptations and expansions in 1981 and now in 2012-2013.
