Podravka presented the educational campaign ‘Tastes for All Languages’ at a press conference, sponsored by the Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs.
This campaign will mark Croatia’s upcoming entry into the European Union through a series of activities aimed at citizens, emphasizing lifelong education and foreign language learning, while promoting culinary competence through Podravka’s product brands that have been present in European markets for many years.
With the ‘Tastes for All Languages’ campaign, Podravka gifts its consumers knowledge – a foreign language course of their choice (English, German, French, or Italian). Zvonimir Mršić, the CEO of Podravka, spoke about the conceptual idea of the campaign and the importance of knowing foreign languages. The First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign and European Affairs, Vesna Pusić, addressed the audience on behalf of the Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs, which is also the sponsor of the campaign. Ivana Todorić Lieli, director of the Lingua Grupa language school, a partner in Podravka’s campaign, discussed the model of foreign language learning that Podravka will gift to its loyal customers. The campaign was also supported by the renowned Croatian singer-songwriter Zlatan Stipišić Gibonni, who recently released a new album ’20th Century Man’ in English, currently presenting it to the European audience.
– It is a great honor for me to start this socially responsible action, and it is well known that Podravka has always been able to recognize this moment. We want to provide citizens with new knowledge and develop awareness of the need for permanent education, and foreign languages are one level of competitiveness. I thank our partners because we are making a significant step forward by encouraging citizens to enrich themselves. I believe that Vegeta, as the strongest Croatian brand, will ensure that consumers of Podravka’s products, which certainly includes all citizens, enjoy the meals – said Zvonimir Mršić, CEO of Podravka.
Given that the goal of the campaign is to encourage citizens to learn or improve their foreign language skills, thereby contributing to Croatia’s entry into the European Union, the importance and quality of the project have also been recognized by the Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs, which is also the sponsor of this project.
– I am glad that the Ministry supports this project for at least three reasons. The first is that culinary arts are one of the most effective models of international communication, the second is that this action supports foreign language learning, which is positive for the generations that will lead us in the European Union. The third reason is the additional Central European moment, which connects the countries where Podravka appears with its products, so I can confidently say – everyone will eat Vegeta – emphasized the First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign and European Affairs, Vesna Pusić. She told Lider that Croatia must work on promoting tourism and culture.
