Key Witness in Horvatinčić Trial Changes Testimony

In the trial of Tomislav Horvatinčić for causing a maritime accident in which the Italian couple Salpietro lost their lives, the key witness has completely changed his testimony.

German sailor Klaus Fuchs, who was the first to arrive at the scene of the accident, now claims that Horvatinčić asked him to take him to the sailboat of the victims because he wanted to help them.

In his statement to the investigating judge the day after the accident, he claimed that Horvatinčić did not ask him if anyone was injured.

Fuchs no longer remembers that Horvatinčić was packing a watch, mobile phones, and other valuables into a black suitcase after the accident.
