Deputy Prime Minister Branko Grčić and four other ministers with their associates will present today in Split measures to encourage investments and restructure the economy.
Split is thus the first stop on the Government’s ‘road show’ tour which includes Osijek, Varaždin, Rijeka, and Zagreb, and panel discussions will address investment encouragement, the investment cycle in tourism, HBOR’s credit programs, financing opportunities for investments from EU funds, the Entrepreneurial Impulse, and restructuring possibilities for companies provided by the Financial Operations and Pre-Bankruptcy Settlement Act.

Deputy Prime Minister Grčić and ministers Ivan Vrdoljak, Veljko Ostojić, Gordan Maras, and Mirando Mrsić will speak today at the Faculty of Economics in Split about what they are doing to reverse economic trends in the country and how they finally intend to achieve economic growth, and Grčić stated for tportal that at the Government’s working groups, at least three to four very concrete projects worth between 50 and 200 million euros are resolved every week, and that investment barriers are being removed on a daily basis.
– Most of them are in tourism, followed by industry, energy, and other areas. At this moment, we have identified projects worth seven billion euros, half of which are already in the implementation phase or in the process of obtaining various permits – Grčić said for tportal.
