Constructor Must Vacate the Construction Site

Constructor-Inženjering, according to the decision of the Municipal Court in Split, must vacate the construction site for the construction of the expressway Solin – Klis – Sinj and submit the construction documentation to Hidroelektra-niskogradnja so that work can continue as soon as possible, reported Hrvatske ceste.

The Municipal Court in Split issued a decision prohibiting Constructor – Inženjering from taking any actions that could cause damage, hinder, or prevent the execution of construction works by their contractual partner Hidroelektra-niskogradnja on the construction of the second lane of the expressway Solin – Klis – Sinj on the sections Majdan – Jamani and Jamani – Klis (Grlo).

Constructor has been given a deadline of 24 hours from the date of delivery of the decision to vacate the construction site and submit the construction documentation to Hidroelektra, which is authorized to remove all persons and items belonging to Constructor – Inženjering from the construction site within 24 hours of receiving the decision, according to the statement from Hrvatske ceste.

It is reminded that at the beginning of January this year, by the decision of the Management of Hrvatske ceste, Hidroelektra-niskogradnja, as a joint partner of Constructor-inženjering in the construction of the expressway Solin – Klis – Sinj, subsection Majdan – Jamani and Jamani – Grlo (Klis), began taking over the execution of all remaining construction works that, according to the previous distribution of works, belonged to Constructor inženjering.

As explained, Constructor was unable to continue with the execution of works due to financial difficulties and has not enabled Hidroelektra to continue work without obstruction until today, and therefore legal steps have been taken to ensure that work continues as soon as possible.

HC states that the total value of contracted construction works amounts to 219 million kuna excluding VAT, of which the value of the remaining unfinished works on the section of the state road is 80 million kuna. The completion of all contracted construction works is expected by the end of 2013.
