‘The Worst is When You Don’t Know That You Don’t Know’

After SDP member Ingrid Antičević Marinović ‘destroyed’ her speech in English at the European Parliament, her fellow politicians could not keep ‘their tongues in check’ and commented on her performance for RTL.

-I don’t know why she didn’t speak in Croatian- wondered HDZ member Davor Ivo Stier, while HDSSB member Dražen Đurović laughed quite a bit when he heard her speech.

Gvozden Srećko Flego believes that his party colleague should have prepared better, while Dinko Burić (HDSSB) sarcastically stated: -SDP sends those whom Milanović ‘trusts’-.

The president of the Croatian Party of Rights dr. Ante Starčević, Ruža Tomašić, said that she really did not understand her colleague, even though she lived in the USA.

-That is beginner’s English-, she added.

Labour member Branko Vukšić admitted that he also does not speak English well, but he is smart enough not to use it.

-The worst is when you don’t know that you don’t know-, commented the performance of the SDP member Zoran Vinković (HDSSB).

-To be or not to be, to be or not to be, that is the question, I won’t say ‘must trust’, but it is obviously rotten, not in Denmark but in Croatia-, added Vinković.

-A mistake was made, there was no translator, but it would be better if such mistakes did not happen, for all of us- said HNS member Igor Kolman.

Ingrid has already become a hit on social media yesterday, and today on Facebook, the ‘alleged’ cheat sheet she used in her speech in English has spread like wildfire.
